UM Health Sparrow celebrates their four-legged volunteers, therapy dogs

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – The University of Michigan Health Sparrow is celebrating its therapy dogs on Tuesday.

UM Sparrow is unveiling a new plaque dedicated to its service animals. On Tuesday, the four-legged volunteers will also receive treats and new leashes.

Therapy dogs help brighten up a patient’s day and play a crucial role in enhancing the emotional and mental health of patients.

Tuesday’s celebration kicks off at 1:30 p.m.
