Middlebury Underground and the Homeward Bound Animal Shelter are calling on all dog owners to attend a movie screening on Aug. 10 with their furry friends in the hopes of breaking a world record.The group is hoping to break a Guinness World Record for “Most Dogs to Attend a Film Screening.” The goal is to have at least 220 dogs attend the event.Local filmmaker Andy Knight Mitchell will premiere his latest film, “Inside the Mind of a Dog,” on Saturday, Aug. 10, at 4 p.m. in the Middlebury Memorial Sports Center.The film is narrated by Rob Lowe and will be released on Netflix on Aug. 9.Other sponsors of the event are the Better Middlebury Partnership, Lacewing Production, and Red Rock Films.In addition to the screening, the event will have a dog party with food, music, and giveaways for attendees.Watch the trailer for the film here.Doors open at 3 p.m., and pre-registration can be found here, including all rules for the event for dogs and their owners.
