Sea Dogs losing streak stretched to four

The Akron RubberDucks opened a five-run lead after two innings and held on to send the Portland Sea Dogs to their fourth straight loss, 7-6, in an Eastern League game Thursday at Hadlock Field.

Dayan Frias had a two-run homer in the first inning. In the second, Akron scored three runs on a fielding error, an RBI single from Cooper Ingle and a wild pitch. Cameron Barstad added a solo home run in the fourth for a 6-0 lead, and Guy Lipscomb homered in the ninth.

Ronald Rosario cut Portland’s deficit in half with a three-run homer in the sixth inning. Newcomer James Tibbs III, acquired in the Rafael Devers trade, hit a two-run double in the ninth and scored on a double by Allan Castro.

Ahbram Liendo was 3 for 4 with a single, a double and a triple for the Sea Dogs. Tibbs, Castro and Zach Ehrhard all had two hits.

Portland starter Caleb Bolden lasted just 1 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on three hits while walking one and striking out three. Jack Anderson went 5 2/3 innings, allowing three runs and four hits with no walks and seven strikeouts.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
