Four cats and two dogs perish in Virginia house fire

Several Iron Range fire departments responded to a house fire in Virginia, according to the Northland Fire Wire, Tuesday afternoon, June 17. The fire was reported shortly before 3:00 p.m. on the 200 block of 3rd Street South.

The Friends of the Northland Fire Wire now reports that four cats and two dogs perished in the fire.

No human injuries have been reported at this time.

Responding agencies included the Virginia, Eveleth, Mountain Iron, Hibbing, Fayal, Gilbert, and Pike-Sandy-Britt Fire Departments
