Hamilton woman surrenders dogs after UPS driver attacked

HAMILTON, Ind. (WFFT) — Deputies from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a dog bite report at 107 State Road 1 on Monday. A UPS employee, Tyler Cool, suffered multiple bite wounds to his head, arms, and abdomen.

Cool said he was delivering a package when Maria Dittemore opened the screen door, allowing five Pitbulls to exit the home. Cool tried to escape but was bitten on the leg, causing him to fall. Three younger dogs began biting him, while two older dogs did not join the attack. The attack stopped when Dittemore yelled at the dogs.

Cool was taken to a local hospital and has been released. Dittemore provided vaccination documentation for the dogs and surrendered three to Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control for quarantine.

The investigation is ongoing, and no decision has been made on potential criminal charges.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
