Royal Canin launches gently cooked fresh nutrition line for dogs

Royal Canin U.S., a global leader in pet health nutrition and one of the billion-dollar brands of Mars, Inc., has launched Royal Canin Fresh Health Nutrition, marking the company’s entry into the gently cooked pet food segment. 

The new line represents a departure from the company’s traditional dry and wet food offerings, incorporating fresh ingredients while maintaining the brand’s science-based nutritional approach developed over 55 years.

The product line features three formulas designed for different life stages: puppy, adult, and senior dogs. Each formula uses what the company calls a “fresh nutrient design” to address specific health needs while providing nutritional balance.

“The launch of Royal Canin Fresh Health Nutrition marks a significant innovation as our first gently cooked food tailored to unique health needs at each life stage,” said Stanley Browning, general manager of the U.S. Pet Specialty Retail Business Unit for Royal Canin North America. “Royal Canin Fresh Health Nutrition was developed with the same philosophy and scientific rigor that Royal Canin is known for, addressing specific health needs while maintaining the nutritional balance that is crucial for optimal pet health.”

The puppy formula includes eggs and chicken for protein, summer squash and peas for fiber and vitamins, fish oil for brain development support, and brown rice for digestive health. The adult formula features pork as the primary protein source, along with summer squash, spinach, and brown rice. The senior formula combines chicken and beef proteins with kale for bone health support, summer squash for antioxidants, and brown rice.

Each formula targets specific nutritional requirements based on life stage, with ingredients selected to provide proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals appropriate for puppies, adults, or senior dogs.

“Royal Canin knows pet owners are constantly looking for ways to help improve their pets’ lives, especially around meals,” said Racquel White, vice president of corporate affairs, Royal Canin North America. “This launch provides a tasty solution to take mealtime to the next level for your pet, developed by veterinarians and backed by the scientific expertise that Royal Canin is known for.”

The fresh nutrition line can be mixed with Royal Canin’s existing dry food products, including its Breed Health Nutrition and Size Health Nutrition lines. The products require freezer storage until use and should be thawed in the refrigerator 24 hours before serving. Once opened, portions can be refrigerated for up to five days.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
