OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA (KOKH) — Be Kind Rescue Dogs Foundation is celebrating National Dog Party Day by sponsoring adoption fees for dogs at the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter.
On Saturday, June 21, the OKC Animal Shelter is hosting an event for the community to help dogs find their forever homes.
During the event, all adoption fees for dogs will be covered by the Be Kind Rescue Dogs Foundation.
“National Dog Party Day is a special day for dogs across the country,” Oklahoma City Animal Shelter Superintendent Ronnie Schlabs said. “We’re grateful to Be Kind Rescue Dogs for sponsoring all adoption fees on June 21 and helping many of our amazing dogs enjoy the best party of all — a homecoming.”
The day will begin with a walk featuring shelter dogs at 10:00 a.m., followed by adoptions starting at noon.
Hawaiian attire is encouraged to celebrate alongside the shelter dogs.
