DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI – A 54-year-old man is accused of stomping on a dog’s neck, resulting in its death, authorities announced.

Haseeb J. Habeeb, of Dearborn Heights, is charged with second-degree killing/torturing of an animal and animal cruelty, according to a news release from the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.

Around midnight on May 24, the defendant allegedly stomped on the neck of a 3-year-old chihuahua, the pet of a 45-year-old Dearborn Heights woman, the release said. It happened at a residence in the 4500 block of Fleming Street. An investigation by Dearborn Heights Police led to the defendant’s arrest later that day.

Habeeb was arraigned on May 28 in 20th District Court before Judge David Turfe. His bond was set at $300 cash. He’s due back in court at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
