Dock Dogs diving event makes a splash in Clifton Park

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — The Dock Dogs diving event returned to Benson’s Pet Center in Clifton Park, bringing with it high-flying and tail-wagging action. The action-packed weekend featured some of the most athletic and enthusiastic dogs from around the region leaping into the air and plunging into the water for distance and height.

Participants were graded on who could fly the farthest after racing down a 40-foot dock, their vertical jump, and speed retrieval.

The man behind the event said it stems from his own dog’s energy.

According to the Dock Dogs website, “it’s the fastest growing aquatic canine sport.” For those interested in more canine aquatic action, the next event is scheduled for the Fourth of July weekend at the Splashes and Wags Splashdown in Bennington, Vermont.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
