FOX5 confirmed she’s employed with UMC.
LVMPD said Clark County Animal Protective Services called dispatch to report the incident. It happened around 2:02 p.m. at the 6800 block of Frances Celia Avenue, near Wetlands Park.
Detectives said the dog was locked in a crate and had been left outside in the extreme heat for hours by Underwood, the reported owner. Saturday, temperatures reached over 100 degrees.
“You cannot leave your dogs in the car. You can’t leave them in the backyard,” said valley animal advocate, Bryce Henderson with No Kill Las Vegas. “This dog was locked in a kennel in direct sunlight and that type of breed of dog is not meant for these types of temperatures and conditions.”
According to court records, Underwood was due for a status check Monday but has posted bond.
FOX5 is working to obtain her arrest report and have asked Las Vegas Justice Court for her bond amount.
