‘Dogs on Main’ Stroll – The always festive Dogs on Main Stroll kicks off the monthly summer stroll season. If you want to take part in the dog parade, they are gathering in the Back to Basics parking lot at 300 Main Street starting at 5 p.m.; the parade begins at 6 and walks to Town Hall. But you don’t need to have a dog to enjoy the stroll. Come hang out on Main Street, visit a store, listen to some live music, grab some dinner – AND say hi to us! EG News will be in front of Town Hall and we will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets too!

The Yardbarkers at the Odeum – The band, made up of Max Hagenburg, Jason Peroni, and Donny Cassidy (all EGHS alums!) open for DudeManBro at the Odeum. Learn more and secure your tickets HERE. 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, June 1
North Kingstown 3rd Annual Pride Parade – NK’s 3rd Annual Pride Parade, a family-friendly celebration open to all, takes place in Wickford Village starting at 1 p.m. from the Wickford Town Dock, followed by a post-parade celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. at Wickford Middle School. The event is sponsored by Towards an Anti-Racist North Kingstown (TANK). The celebration will feature vendors, community organizations, food trucks, and entertainment. St. Luke’s Spring Concert – The choirs of St. Luke’s as well as The Amigos perform in an uplifting spring concert. 4 p.m. at St. Luke’s, 99 Peirce St. Free (donations are welcome). All are welcome.

Navy Day – East Greenwich is one of three municipalities that claims to be the birthplace of the U.S. Navy. Of course, we are right (read about it HERE and HERE) and June 7 is the date we mark that moment. Here’s the Town Council proclamation.
Eco-Depot Drop Off in West Warwick – The Eco-Depot offers drop off sessions around the state each year and they will be at the Civic Center, 100 Factory St., West Warwick, from 8 a.m. to noon this day. Appointments are required. Visit rirrc.org or call 401-942-1430.
4th Annual Picnic in the Park – The EG Community Services Department is holding the 4th annual picnic at Academy Field from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. With food, music, games and more.

News-a-Palooza 2025! – Join East Greenwich News in a celebration of our community! Rhode Island Civics Bee – The very first Rhode Island Civics Bee – an effort of the East Greenwich Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the national Chamber of Commerce – is happening right here in East Greenwich at Swift Community Center. Twenty Rhode Island middle schoolers will compete for a chance to proceed to the national competition in Washington D.C. Come watch! 6 p.m.
