Dog in recovery after escaping from car in Narragansett

One of three dogs taken into custody by the RISPCA on Wednesday after escaping from a vehicle is recovering from surgery.

Officials said “Liberty,” a Belgian Malinois, was attacked by the 13 other dogs that escaped in Narragansett.

Veterinarians said she was in surgery until 8 p.m. Wednesday night.

She suffered from deep wounds on her body and tested positive for Giardia.

Officials said Liberty and two other dogs are being quarantined for 10 days.

Anyone interested in donating to cover care for the dogs can visit the RISPCA website.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
