Dog wash fundraiser held in honor of Tammy Smith

The animal rescue community continues to mourn the loss of Tammy Sith, the founder of PAWS.

Smith died in April after a courageous battle with cancer. She was known for her dedication and love for rescuing animals.

“Very caring, very open-minded, very generous with her time, loved animals more than anything right behind her family,” Tammy’s husband, Jared Smith said in a previous interview with KFDM/FOX4 News.

Those who want to continue Smith’s mission also said they were unsure of the non-profit’s future, but they want to fulfill her final wishes, by finding homes for the remaining dogs and pay off vet bills.

A dog wash to raise funds to pay off the vet bills will be held Saturday, May 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lumberton Church of Christ.

There will also be a raffle and auction, baked goods and more.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
