Neighbor opens fire on neighborhood dogs, injuring 2 and killing 2

A man was arrested for shooting at a neighbor’s dogs on North Bridge Street at around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, police say.

Officers responded to a report of a man actively shooting at dogs in the 1600 block of North Bridge Street.

Officers identified that 42-year-old Anthony Serrato was the suspect.

Serrato was arrested without incident in the 1700 block of North Garden Street.

Four dogs that belonged to different residents throughout the block were shot.

Visalia Animal Control responded to the scene, two of the dogs died while the other 2 dogs were injured and taken to emergency veterinary care.

One of the dogs was inside Serrato’s backyard.
