Where you’ll typically find them: Navarre

What they offer: Fu Dogs, typically located at 8228 Gulf Boulevard, brings an Asian bodega feel to the heart of Navarre Beach specializing in bao buns, gourmet hot dogs, ramen and small plates.

Owner Jon Ortiz, formerly executive chef at The Noble Savage in Shreveport, Louisiana, brings extensive culinary career experience with him in his move to Navarre, especially the recipes from the late-night, back-door style ramen bar, Ghost Ramen. The ramen concept became extremely popular for its 18-hour, slow-cooked broths and fresh noodles. When he moved to Navarre, he wanted to nod back to the idea with a rotating flavor of Ghost Ramen that is now among one of Fu Dogs’ best-sellers. However, the truck has evolved into so much more than just ramen.

Ortiz’s menu mixes “highbrow and lowbrow together,” such as his Korean Dog, which is a wagyu beef base dressed in nori mayo and topped with gochujang, kimchi, fried sesame seeds and scallion, or the potato mochi, which are mozzarella and potato croquettes topped with parmesan cheese, nori and scallion.

You can find Fu Dogs regularly by Navarre Beach from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at The Grey Taproom. They also plan to offer brunch at The Grey Taproom in June. Follow Fu Dogs on social media for real-time updates and information.

Where you’ll typically find them: Pensacola

What they offer: If you like your pizza prepared fresh in front of you and fired up in a Neapolitan-style oven, Fire Wagon Pizza manager Chris Miller takes pride in every detail of the new food truck at 1521 E. Olive Road. The dough is made fresh by hand with flour imported from Italy, the seasoning blend is his best-kept secret, the basil used for toppings is grown out front and every crust gets a final brush of homemade garlic butter before going out the pick-up window.

Opening a food truck has been a long-time dream for Miller, who now exercises his creativity through 11-inch specialty pizzas such as The Whole Hog, starring Conecuh sausage, or the light Pesto Chicken pizza with fresh garlic, feta and roasted chicken. So far, he said, customers have considered it top-of-the-line, even comparing it to what you would find in Italy. Their motto is, “Always fresh, always hot where flavor meets yum.”

Although pizza is the current focus, Miller would eventually like to add more to the menu, with options ranging from breakfast burritos to barbecue. Follow them on social media to keep up to speed with Fire Wagon Pizza.

Where you’ll typically find them: Milton

What they offer: Milton has a new source for home-cooked barbecue through Smokin’ Grace BBQ. The truck is a one-stop-shop for slow-smoked barbecue such as pulled pork, chicken, brisket, ribs and more. To complete the meal, they also offer ice-cold, fresh-squeezed lemonades to wash it down, potato salad to pair it with, and dreamy layered strawberry banana pudding to top it off made “just like Grandma used to,” according to Smokin’ Grace BBQ’s social media.

While the truck is based in Milton, it travels to various locations, so be sure to follow Smokin’ Grace BBQ on social media for updates on location and menu offerings.

Where you’ll typically find them: Navarre

What they offer: Tropical Boho has become one of the most unique food trucks around, blending “the vibrant flavors of Asia with a coastal twist,” specializing in Japanese-style crepes and refreshing boba tea, according to the Tropical Boho website. The shop carries 20 bubble tea varieties, plus add-in options ranging from popping boba to fresh fruit. However, you can also find traditional Japanese fare on the truck, such as crispy chicken katsu topped with green onion and curry sauce. If you’re looking for a snack on the sweet side, there are various crepes to taste, from classic fruit and Nutella to a creative custard mango caramel Frosted Flakes flavor.

You can usually find them at 8497 Navarre Parkway, but they will also travel. The best way to stay current is to follow Tropical Boho on social media.

Where you’ll typically find them: Pensacola

What they offer: Not Just A Slice, run by Chelsey Freiermuth, the former owner of Jimmy B’s in Gulf Breeze, is now open to the public. One of the regular locations is 537 N. Fairfield Drive. In addition to the popular pizza slices, they also offer a variety of Southern specialties, such as flounder fillets and pork chop combos.

On their regular menu, you can also find pasta dishes such as spaghetti, baked ziti and alfredo, and classic burgers and hot dogs. If you miss Jimmy B’s, now’s your chance to get another taste. Follow Not Just A Slice on social media for real-time updates and information.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
