2-alarm fire in Avondale leaves one man displaced, 2 dogs unaccounted for

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – The Cincinnati Fire Department says a late evening two-alarm fire left one man displaced.

Cincinnati Fire Department Assistant Chief Matt Flagler tells FOX19 NOW at the scene that the call came in around 8:10 p.m. Saturday.

When crews arrived at the 800 block of Hutchins Avenue, Flagler said they saw smoke coming from the top of the home.

Flagler said the owner was outside when they arrived, but said that there are two dogs unaccounted for.

The fire was between the second and third floors and was “very well advanced,” Flagler said.

Since the neighborhood is so old, Flagler says the water mains aren’t as big and created an obstacle in dousing the flames.

The scene took 65 firefighters, but no civilians or firefighters were injured.

The home suffered “extensive” damage that displaced its owner.

CFD is investigating the fire, but says they don’t believe it was anything suspicious.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
