At the ASPCA Cruelty Recovery Center (CRC) in Columbus, Ohio, we have seen all kinds of dogs and cats make the most incredible transformations! These two dogs are no exception, and they have both come a long way from when they first came into our care. Meet Nemo and Mykonos!
Nemo
Nothing slows this sweet girl down! Nemo came to us after being rescued from a suspected dog fighting operation. Though her journey hasn’t always been easy, she’s ready to finally live life to the fullest!
Nemo might be initially shy around new faces, but once she warms up, all she wants is to love and be loved. Tasty treats and playtime with toys are the ways to her heart, and she’ll soon show off her true colors.
Nemo has adapted excellently in a foster home setting, where she has enjoyed cuddling on the couch and playing with her canine foster brother. She was also well behaved around the resident senior dog and cats! She really loves being with other dogs and has been a star in our doggy playgroups. Mykonos
Mykonos has bounced back incredibly from her original situation. She was found in New York by the NYPD, living in deplorable conditions with a large number of other dogs. She was underweight but thankfully rehabilitated by our dedicated medical team. Once she was back on her feet, she moved to the CRC to find the home she’s always dreamed of!
This brave dog is sure to be your new adventure partner! She has even joined a run club outing, where she made lots of new friends and had a blast. Mykonos loves quiet snuggle time, too! After a day of fun, she’ll be eager to curl up in a warm lap for pets and a good snooze. She hopes to find an understanding adopter who will help guide her and improve her doggy manners.
