5 dogs attack, hospitalize 3-year-old boy in North Texas, officials say

The young boy was taken to the hospital via helicopter, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

VENUS, Texas — A 3-year-old boy was hospitalized after being attacked by five dogs in North Texas.

According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), a woman called 911 Monday evening saying her 3-year-old had been attacked by multiple dogs and was bleeding. JSCO says the boy was flown to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth via helicopter.

The young boy’s identity and condition are unknown at this time. 

A deputy identified the dogs’ owner, and all five were taken to a quarantine facility to be evaluated, according to the sheriff’s office. The details leading up to the attack were not immediately provided.
