TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – They say every dog has its day, and thanks to a local photography studio, dozens of rescue dogs are going to have a very special day.
Rebecca Trumbull is a Toledo-based photographer who has donated countless hours to help animals find their forever homes. In honor of National Rescue Dog Day, her studio is hosting a photo shoot this weekend. Local rescues and shelters are able to bring adoptable dogs in for free bio pictures.
“Volunteering helps fulfill me creatively and it gives my work extra meaning. You can see so much more about an animal with a really good photos. We take our time with each dog, so if they need extra time to warm up we can get them to a place where the photos look nice despite that,” says Trumbull.
The free photo shoot is this Sunday, May 18th. There are several slots still open. Dogs need to be up to date on vaccines and organizations must be registered non-profits.
This is the second year for the event. Last year, 39 dogs were part of the photo shoot.
