Postal carrier attacked by dogs

On 05/09/2025 at approximately 11:02 a.m., the Great Bend Police Department, along with Great Bend EMS and the Golden Belt Humane Society were dispatched to the 1400 block of Lakin Ave in reference to two dogs attacking a Postal Carrier. Upon arrival in the area, Officers began searching the area to try and locate the dogs.  Officers and Animal Control were unable to locate the dogs at that time. The victim was transported to KU Med Great Bend for treatment of their injuries.

Anyone who recognizes the dogs in these photos, which were taken shortly after the attack, is asked to contact the Great Bend Police Department at 620-793-4120 or the Great Bend/ Barton County Crime Stoppers at 620-792-1300 or online at p3tips.com.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
