PORTLAND, Maine — The Portland Sea Dogs faced off against the Chesapeake Baysox in a thrilling game at Hadlock Field, continuing their week-long series. Despite a strong start, the Sea Dogs fell short in extra innings, with the Baysox clinching a 9-4 victory in the 10th inning.
The Sea Dogs, looking to recover from a sweep the previous night, found themselves trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning. Blaze Jordan sparked hope with a lead-off double to left field. Two batters later, Tyler Miller, who has been on a hot streak, lined an RBI single to right, bringing Jordan home and narrowing the gap to 2-1.
Max Ferguson then delivered a powerful two-run homer to deep right, giving the Sea Dogs a 3-2 lead. However, the Baysox mounted a comeback, ultimately securing the win in extra innings.
