For the second straight day, the Butte High Bulldogs delivered a dramatic finish—this time walking off Park 5-4 to notch their second straight win.
With the game tied at 4-4 in the bottom of the seventh, the Bulldogs capitalized on a Park error to bring home the winning run. Earlier, Tocher Lee sparked Butte’s offense with a steal of home and a 2-for-4 performance at the plate, adding an RBI and three stolen bases. The Bulldogs were aggressive all game, swiping nine total bags.
Lucas Harris-Huerta reached base all three times he came to the plate, drawing three walks and helping Butte rack up 11 free passes overall.
Chase Lubick got the win on the mound, throwing 6.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs (3 earned) while striking out 3. Brooks Vincent recorded the final out in relief.
Park tied the game in the top of the 7th with an RBI single by Liam Edwards, but a costly defensive miscue in the bottom half sealed their fate. Carter Anderson took the loss for the Rangers despite allowing just 2 hits over 5.1 innings—he walked 10 and threw 113 pitches.
