Lewisboro going to the dogs

LEWISBORO- Three incidents involving ‘man’s best friend’ have been investigated by Lewisboro Police in northern Westchester this week.

Cops were summoned when an Instacart deliveryman alleged he was attacked by a dog that had been accidentally let out of the house by the owner’s children. The homeowner said the dog attempted to bite the driver, who was delivering food to his house.

Police next responded to a call from two highway workers in the Lake Waccabuc section of town who reported two dogs roaming the neighborhood. Authorities said upon arrival, the two dogs came to the officer’s car – one of which was dragging a section of broken chain. Both dogs became aggressive, jumping at the responding officers and one dog bit an officer in the leg. The two highway workers blew their car’s horn, which helped the officer return to his vehicle.

With the assistance of a third officer, police were able to get the biting dog into the back of a police car. The dogs’ owner then arrived and told police that the dogs had jumped out of his vehicle and ran into the woods. One dog was licensed, and the other was not. The dog owner was issued a summons.

Police also responded to a South Salem residence when a woman complained about her neighbor’s pit bull terrier acting aggressively.

An officer was shown a video of the dog as evidence. The neighbor informed town authorities that a metal fence was being installed since the animal often broke through his electric fence.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
