I grew up with dogs around the house and I’ve had a dog (CJ) for the past 13 years. I talk to him and I think that he understands me. So, if you’ve been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, now might is the perfect time.

The Broome County Dog Shelter is joining in on a nationwide effort to help pets find forever homes by participating in the Bissell Pet Foundation’s “Empty the Shelters” event.
Adoption Fees Get a Big Discount Thanks to Bissell
Now through May 15th, adoption fees at the shelter will be reduced as part of the national campaign. This program, sponsored by the Bissell Pet Foundation, is all about getting more dogs out of shelters and into loving homes. It’s a win-win because you give a dog a second chance and get a loyal companion.
Your Adoption Includes Everything Your Dog Needs to Start Fresh
Every adoption from the Broome County Dog Shelter includes spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping. So your new pup will be healthy, ready to come home, and easier to find if they ever get lost.
When and Where to Meet the Dogs
Would you like to meet your new four-legged buddy in person? The Broome County Dog Shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can stop by then or call 607-778-2493 to make an appointment.
