Assistance dogs in training learn at the airport

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – A trip to the airport can be stressful for anyone, but for those that need an assistance dog that is especially true.

That’s why “Can Do Canines” are training to become familiar with the airport environment at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport Friday.

Volunteers with “Can Do Canines” provide homes for assistance dogs in training that are ages 6 weeks to roughly 2.5 years old, with the job of helping socialize and train the dogs.

Friday’s trip will help the dogs become used to working in a high stress environment.

Erin Whitfield, Volunteer Pack Leader, says this is the third year that “Can Do Canines” have gone to the Chippewa Valley airport. She hopes they can continue to do this training for years to come.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
