They say Regalado died during a medical emergency of a preexisting condition, leaving Lopez alone with seven dogs in the residence.

Authorities say the dogs attacked Lopez for unknown reasons, and she later died from her injuries at the hospital.

Officials on scene sedated and euthanized the seven dogs for the safety of everyone involved and the preservation of evidence.

The dogs have been taken to Sothern Indiana Purdue Agriculture center for laboratory testing.

At this time, no criminal charges have been filed.
