Recovery efforts resume for missing worker in Ogeechee River, cadaver dog continues search

BRYAN COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) – We have learned more information about a construction worker who fell into the Ogeechee River as recovery efforts continue for him Tuesday.

We have now learned the victim’s name is Jose Garcia Hernandez.

Authorities have been out along Highway 17 and the Interstate 95 bridge in Bryan County searching for the 55-year-old man’s body.

The Bryan County Sheriff’s Office brought in a cadaver dog from Evans County Monday who alerted on the water near the I-95 bridge.

A dive team went in the water, but did not find Hernandez.

It’s been more than a week since Hernandez first fell into the water.

Tuesday, the sheriff’s office said the Savannah/Chatham dive team is reasonably confident they have located the area Hernandez is in, which is in the vicinity of the I-95 bridge.

They have the cadaver dog out on the water as well.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
