The Diamond ‘Dogs (23-13, 8-3 CUSA) are set for a quick road trip to Monroe to face the ULM Warhawks (18-19, 5-10 Sun Belt) tonight at 6 p.m. at Lou St. Amant Field.
The Bulldogs enter the matchup after securing their fifth-straight series win and fourth-straight series against a Conference USA opponent. LA Tech has gone 14-5 since starting off with a scuffling 9-8 record to open the season.
The contest can be heard on the LA Tech Sports Network on 97.7 FM or seen on ESPN+. Tech leads the all-time series 79-53, including a 6-2 win back on March 18 in Ruston. The Bulldogs have won four straight against the Warhawks
With Tech’s series-opening victory at Middle Tennessee on April 11, head coach Lane Burroughs secured his 300th win at the helm of the Bulldogs’ baseball program. Trey Hawsey batted .500 last week to help lead the ‘Dogs to a 3-1 record with three homers, 14 total bases and a staggering OPS of 2.088.
Tech won the series against the Blue Raiders, taking two of three.
The last time the Bulldogs played ULM at Lou St. Amant Field, Tech won 6-2 and outhit the Warhawks 10-4. Connor Nation earned the win in a bullpen game, tossing two innings allowing just one run on a solo homer.

Mexico leads the team with a .321 batting average, 30 RBI, a .589 slugging percentage and is one of five players with at least 30 hits for the Bulldogs this year. The junior has five jacks on the year, four he has hit in the last seven games.
ULM enters Tuesday with an 18-19 record and are currently 5-10 in Sun Belt play. The Warhawks are coming off a series win at home over UL-Lafayette, taking the final two games of the weekend after dropping the series opener.
This was their first series win in conference play and first time winning a weekend series since clinching the rubber match against UT Arlington in a 4-0 shutout on March 9.
