DAVIE, Fla. – Lenai Rosier and Fitzgerald Lawrence said they loved their dog like a son.
A week ago, 3-year-old Smoky ran out of their apartment in Miami Gardens and returned wounded and died on Monday.
“My heart is outside of my body, actually, it’s like the worst thing ever, ever, my worst nightmare, like my kid honestly,” Rosier said.
The couple took him to Advanced Veterinary Care in Davie and X-rays showed he had bullet fragments after the bullet went in and out.
