DoorDash has partnered with GUT Miami to launch Dog-Friendly Since 2013, a National Pet Day Campaign that sheds light on the convenience of delivering DoorDash directly to your home, so you can be together with your best friend.
Many restaurants, cafes, and eateries don’t allow pets inside. As a result, dog owners have to leave their pups waiting outside while they eat in or pick up takeout. But with DoorDash, every restaurant becomes dog-friendly. Showcasing heart-tugging scenes of dogs waiting longingly outside establishments for their owners to get their food, groceries, and everyday essentials, the campaign aims to drive dog owners to stay in on National Pet Day.
“With Dog-Friendly, we’re building on our brand platform Your Door to More by showing how DoorDash can unlock everyday happiness for pet owners nationwide,” said Rafael Segri, head of creative at DoorDash.
To bring the campaign to life, DoorDash partnered with real establishments and real mascots, working alongside creative agency GUT Miami to craft a campaign that feels both authentic and emotionally resonant.

“Dog owners have to make the tough call of leaving their best friends behind outside a restaurant, so through these beautiful visuals, we came up with a clever way of showing DoorDash as the solution. Through DoorDash, all dogs are allowed inside,” said Juan Javier Peña, chief creative officer at GUT Miami.
Dog-Friendly Since 2013 will roll out across billboards in Miami, FL, print in the Boston area, and short films and surprises on DoorDash’s social channels.
