Columbus North pulled out its second consceutive 3-2 victory to open the girls tennis season, this one coming against Seymour Thursday.
Aya Saad blanked Ava Sunbury 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, and Lucy Bergman beat Gabby Cornn 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 singles for the Bull Dogs (2-0). Grace Conner and Nino Akalaya topped Emma Woodard and Rose Kruse 6-0, 7-5 at No. 2 doubles.
North’s Ayana Umemura fell to Claire Combs 4-6, 6-3, (14-12) at No. 3 singles. Annabelle Sun and Lizzie Bodart lost to Addison Hunsley and Kelsea Hunsley 6-1, 1-6, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles.
