Bull Dogs rally for extra-inning win at East Central

Jesse Clark

ST. LEON — Columbus North rallied from a 9-5 deficit after four innings Tuesday to pull out an 11-9, eight-inning baseball win at East Central.

The Bull Dogs (2-1) scored three times in the fifth and once in the seventh to tie the game, then scored twice in the eighth.

Jesse Clark went 4 for 4 with three RBIs, and freshman Jack Whaley went 3 for 5 with his third home run in three games and two RBIs. Macario Mendez went 2 for 5, and Lane Schrader had two RBIs.

Brock Kintner came on in relief of Franko Ortega and Schrader and pitched 4.2 innings of shutout relief to earn the victory.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
