Roncalli hands Bull Dogs first defeat

INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus North baseball took its first loss of the season Monday, a 10-5 setback at Roncalli.

Jack Whaley went 2 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs for the Bull Dogs (1-1). Macario Mendez also homered for North.

Jayce Emmitt, Dillon Long and Joey Fry combined on a six-hitter and allowed six earned runs.
