Woman jumps from window to escape Richland fire, multiple dogs saved

RICHLAND, Wash. – A woman is being treated for serious injuries from jumping out of a second floor window to escape a duplex fire in Richland, police said in a release.

The fire ripped through a duplex in the 1300 block of Roberdeau St. on March 30, 2025. Richland Police responded and said firefighters were already treating the woman. She was transported to Kadlec Medical Center for treatment.

Police said a man alerted first responders to several dogs trapped inside. Firefighters re-entered the residence, rescuing multiple dogs, some requiring resuscitation with specialized medical equipment.

The incident is under active investigation, police added.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
