Lucky came in as a stray in early February and lucky he is not. Nearly two months have passed, and he has not had any adoption or foster interest. Lucky looks like a yellow lab mix and he sure has the friendly demeanor of a Labrador Retriever. Volunteers have described him as a quick learner, calm in his kennel, and very attentive to his handler. He will be a breeze to train if someone will just spend the time with him. He is very generous with affection and would likely crawl into your lap to watch TV.
Lucky has done well while meeting several dogs at the shelter and would likely enjoy a canine sibling who is on the quieter side. With the shelter so full, all the dogs are just stressed out. We’re hoping Lucky can get out soon so that his personality can shine even more.
Can you help Lucky turn his luck around? Please call the Athens County Dog Shelter at (740) 593-5415 to meet Lucky.
