Dogs left in locked car for days in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) – Jackson County Animal Control wants to know who left their dogs in the Henry Ford Hospital parking structure for days.

Jackson County Animal Control Officer Jeff Lang received a call about the incident Friday morning. When Lang arrived on the scene, he found four docks locked in a car with all windows up. He received permission to break into the car to retrieve the dogs.

According to Officer Lang, the car was registered out of Pennsylvania. However, they could not find a connection between an owner and a patient.

“Anytime I see that, I immediately think cruelty to animals,” Lang said. “They actually looked like they were cold this morning. The dogs seemed to be thin too.”

The dogs are now getting support at the Jackson County Animal Shelter. If you know anything about this incident, contact Animal Control.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
