Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society issues Code Red

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – The Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society (BGWCHS) has issued a Code Red for dogs and puppies.

In a Facebook post, the animal shelter said that with dogs coming in and adoptions slowing down, it is at critical capacity.

Their kennels are past their maximum capacity, and the dogs are becoming very overstimulated. BGWCHS also said that having so many dogs per kennel creates a stressful environment for them.

From today until Sunday, March 23, adoptions are $25. Every adoption makes space for another life in need.

If you can’t adopt, the animal shelter is always taking volunteers.

The Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society is located at 1924 Louisville Road. It is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

For more information, call 270-842-8572 (intake facility) or 270-783-9404 (adoption center).

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
