Woman severely injured after attacked by two dogs, ACS says

The pair of dangerous dogs got out of a nearby yard on the northwest side of town and bit the woman on her leg.

SAN ANTONIO — A woman was severely injured after she was bitten on her leg by a pair of dogs northwest of downtown early Tuesday morning.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. off of Wayside Drive near Vance Jackson Road.

City of San Antonio Animal Care Services (ACS) says the 65-year-old victim was bit on her left leg after a pair of dogs got out of a nearby yard.

That pair of dogs is now in the custody of ACS, says Lisa Norwood.

Investigators are working with both the victim as well as witnesses to potentially file charges for dangerous dog cases.

“As ACS officers continue to work this case, we cannot stress enough how vital it is for residents to keep their pets securely on their property,” said Norwood. “Loose animals are a threat to public safety and owners who allow their dogs to roam are breaking the law.”

This is a developing story.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
