NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man was arrested after his two dogs killed an elderly dog, according to an arrest affidavit.
On March 1, David Bishop was walking his two Alaskan Huskies when he walked them outside the property of a home where a woman and her elderly dog live.
According to the affidavit, Bishop lost control of his dogs, fell to the ground and dropped the leashes.
The two dogs went and attacked the 14-year-old Allen English Setter, the report said.
During the attack, the dogs did not have muzzles on. The elderly dog always had to be put down due to the damage she received.
After the attack, officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department learned that there had been two attacks involving Bishop’s dogs and that they were listed as “vicious and were given euthanasia” orders.
According to the report, a few days after the attack, officers were called to the victim’s house on March 6 and March 7. On March 6, the victim relayed what happened.
The next day, officers were called over to her house again after Bishop showed up again, this time yelling outside her home.
Police arrested Bishop at his home at 1616 Glenridge Dr. According to the report, Bishop said he believed the victim’s dog attacked his dogs. Police said Bishop’s dogs had no injuries.
Bishop was charged with dog running at large and causes of death.
