The Swatara Township Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying the owner of a dog found abandoned in a crate.It says the dog was found in the area of North 50th Street and Erie Road on Friday, March 7. According to police, the gray female pit bull with a white chest and white paws is believed to be around 9 years old.Responding officers took the dog to the Humane Society.Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Swatara police at 717-564-2550 or Dauphin County Communications at 717-558-6900.
