Chesterfield firefighters save dogs from house fire

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) -Chesterfield firefighters rescued five dogs from a house fire Monday afternoon.

Chesterfield Fire and EMS crews responded to a house fire in the 4900 block of Creekwood Court at 12:45 p.m. on March 3.

The first firefighters found smoke and a fire inside on one side of the home. They were able to put the fire out within 30 minutes.

While fighting the fire, firefighters found five dogs and were able to rescue and resuscitate all of them.

There were no injuries reported.

Five people are displaced due to the fire, which remains under investigation.
