The Kentucky Humane Society in Louisville has received 20 dogs that were displaced by flooding in eastern Kentucky.The dogs came to KHS from Estill County Animal Shelter.They are all settling into their new temporary home at KHS’s Fern Creek Pet Resort. They are being housed in a separate building from the pets currently staying at the resort.KHS received the dogs Tuesday afternoon. It wasn’t until recently that roads were passable to bring them. In partnership with the BISSELL Pet Foundation, KHS is assisting affected shelters in Floyd, Estill, and Pike counties by transporting animals to Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Chicago, and Louisville.
