Whitefish Bay police rescue dog whose head got stuck in a Milk-Bone container: See the video

Whitefish Bay police rescued a dog Feb. 17 after he spent more than an hour with his head stuck in a plastic Milk-Bone container.

Police said in a Facebook post Wednesday that the dog, named Lil Murphy, was trying to retrieve the last treat from the container but then couldn’t get his head out.

Lil Murphy’s owners tried to get the container off his head for over an hour before bringing him to the vet. But the vet’s office was closed, so they brought him to the Whitefish Bay police station.

The police department used a pair of scissors to cut the dog free.

In a bodycam video, Lil Murphy can be seen breathing hard as the officers set him free. Once the rest of the container is off of him, the dog shakes off and wiggles his tail. One of the humans helping him exclaims, “Yay, we did it!”

Whitefish Bay police certainly turned a “ruff day” into a memorable story.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
