Dog rescued after being found trapped in cesspool

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A yellow lab turned brown after falling nearly 20 feet into a cesspool on Maui.

15-year-old Tressa is back home after she was pulled from the cesspit in her owner’s yard in Haiku on Tuesday.

With help from Chris Berquist from the Hawaii Search Tech Advisory Team, Tressa was hauled safely up from the messy pit.

Berquist slid into the pit and bundled Tressa in a net and hauled her out using a rope.

“So I put on fishing waders, a raincoat and duct tape, boots, and duct taped the wrists and put on a helmet and a trash bag as a durag,” Berquist said.

Tressa spent the Tuesday night at Makawao Animal Hospital and was discharged the following day without any major injuries.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
