The Lee County Public Safety shared a heartwarming story regarding saving a homeowner’s dogs following a house fire.
On a Facebook post shared by Lee County Public Safety, emergency medical services and the Cape Coral Fire Department responded to the house fire on Feb. 13, where they pulled the unresponsive animals from the home.
According to the LCPS, the dogs were struggling to breathe due to smoke inhalation.
Several first responders jumped to the aid of the struggling animals, providing oxygen and care to help resuscitate the dogs.
By the time their owners returned home, the dogs had regained consciousness.
Lee County Public Safety did not provide the cause of the fire.
