TRINITY COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) – According to Trinity County Sheriff Woody Wallace, two people have been arrested after a complainant reported that their dogs were malnourished.
Timothy Wade Hall and Erika Leanne Hall were arrested on a felony cruelty to animals charge after a deputy responded to the address the person reporting the alleged abuse gave.
When he arrived, he found that two of the three dogs in the yard were malnourished. Upon further inspection of the dogs, he found that one of them had a chain-link collar deeply embedded in the flesh around his neck.
“A clear case of animal abuse,” Sheriff Wallace stated in a Facebook post.
Both Erika and Timothy Hall were arrested on Feb. 18 and booked into the Trinity County Jail.
