BLOOMINGTON — Columbus North ran its winning streak to eight Friday with a 54-51 Conference Indiana boys basketball win at Bloomington South.
The Panthers used a 10-0 run in the second quarter to take a 17-12 lead and led 29-24 at halftime. Bloomington South led 41-33 when the Bull Dogs went on a 15-2 run to take a 28-43 lead midway through the fourth quarter.
The Panthers got back to within one late in the game, but Caleb Ferguson went 4 for 4 from the free-throw line in the final 10 seconds to seal the win.
Max Coomes led North (15-3, 3-1) with 15 points. Ferguson finished with 11, Garrett Long had nine and Austin Perry added eight.
