A father has been indicted in connection with the death of his 3-year-old daughter who was mauled to death by two dogs in Roselawn.Warren Houston, 45, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, endangering children and reckless endangerment.”This is a heartbreaking and devastating case. No family should have to suffer such an unimaginable loss. While nothing can undo this tragedy, we are committed to ensuring accountability and justice,” Prosecutor Connie Pillich said in a statement. The incident unfolded in December when Gina Smith says her child, Kingsley Wright, was spending time with family for the holidays. Smith said she had no idea the dogs were dangerous.”I would have not left my baby around vicious dogs. Why would I do that?” Smith told WLWT.911 calls from that morning gave more details on the incident.According to the 911 call, a man, who identified himself as the girl’s father, reported he woke up and found his daughter dead and there was blood everywhere.”I don’t understand what went on,” the caller said.The 911 dispatcher then told the caller to put any pets away, to which he responded, “they’re in the cage. That’s why I’m like ‘Did any of my pets attack her or something?’ I would’ve heard it.” The dispatcher asked if the dogs were loose, to which the caller responded, “no.”According to the 911 calls, the dogs were Terriers.

“I would have not left my baby around vicious dogs. Why would I do that?” Smith told WLWT.

911 calls from that morning gave more details on the incident.

According to the 911 call, a man, who identified himself as the girl’s father, reported he woke up and found his daughter dead and there was blood everywhere.

“I don’t understand what went on,” the caller said.

The 911 dispatcher then told the caller to put any pets away, to which he responded, “they’re in the cage. That’s why I’m like ‘Did any of my pets attack her or something?’ I would’ve heard it.” The dispatcher asked if the dogs were loose, to which the caller responded, “no.”

According to the 911 calls, the dogs were Terriers.
