Online pet supplies retailer Chewy has partnered with our local Humane Society shelter to host Dogs’ Day Out, the perfect Valentine’s Day date for animal-lovers.

What is Dogs’ Day Out?
Dogs’ Day Out is the perfect way to share the love this Valentine’s Day.
You’ll go to the Humane Society Naples and find a lovable dog to take on a date. You and your cute date will receive a Valentine’s Day bag donated by Chewy which contains all your date essentials: toys, treats, waste bags, and a collapsible bowl.
Then, it’s all up to you! You could take your dog to a park, a dog-friendly brewery, or go for a hike.
How does Dogs’ Day Out help shelter dogs?
Taking a shelter dog out on a date not only allows you to spend time with a date you’re sure likes you, but it also helps socialize them.
Just like you enjoy getting out of the house every once and a while, so do these shelter dogs. Taking an adoptable dog out on a date provides them with enrichment and a much-needed break, which can boost their confidence and help their chances in finding a forever home.
How can I participate in Dogs’ Day Out this year?
All you have to do is show up at the Humane Society Naples Main Shelter or the von Arx Adoption Center to participate.
You can meet your date as early as 8:30 a.m. on Friday Feb. 14, but make sure you get your adorable pup back to the shelter by 4 p.m.
