Free dog grooming tour set to make stop in the Upstate next month

If you’re a current dog owner who has faced some sort of recent financial hardship or you’re currently dealing with some financial struggles, you can apply to have your pet fully groomed for free.According to Melody Coleman, owner of Upstate-based mobile grooming service Pawsitively Southern LLC, the Diamond in the Ruff tour will be making a stop in Easley in March. Coleman said Diamond in the Ruff is a North Carolina based non-profit that works to provide free grooming services to pet owners who may be falling on hard times financially. The stop will be in conjunction with several Upstate-based mobile grooming services and other groomers in the area who will volunteer their time to give free grooming services to dogs.Coleman also said Hurricane Helene had an impact on numerous pet owners and their overall ability to care for, maintain, and even keep their pets in some cases.”Grooming is an integral part of a pet’s health,” Coleman said. “I think a lot of us have been there where we’ve had to make these difficult decisions, and we don’t ever want to come to that point, but sometimes it does, and it’s totally ok. That’s where we get to step in and say hey, this time, you don’t have to worry about it. We’re going to groom your pet. They’re going to have a fabulous time. Get taken care of. They’re going to look great. You don’t have to worry about that today. You take care of yourself. We’ve got your pet.”An application can be found here.
